Success Stories

Before finding vision therapy, we had talked and worked with teachers and counselors at school as well as a private tutor, to find out what was causing Eric's problems at school. We kept hearing that he scored well in his ISTEP tests and that he didn't have a learning disability. No one had a reason for his poor scholastic performance. After he was tested by you, we were very relieved to finally find an answer to our problem.

In the beginning we had hopes that we would see some improvement in Eric's school work, but we were amazed at how much improvement we saw. Eric had never been able to do math problems in his head, now he can do several steps of a problem in his head. He no longer seems to dread doing his homework. His concentration has improved immensely, also.

Eric got his report card last week. His grades in English and Math both came up 2 grades. The best part of the whole vision program is finally seeing our son live up to the potential we always knew was there.

We have the greatest praise for Dr. Myers and his staff. Eric enjoyed his time in therapy, and he did his vision homework without complaining. We can recommend vision therapy without hesitation. I just wish we had found it years ago. I plan to take information to our school's counselors about this program so that more children can be helped.

Jasmine's self-esteem has soared through the roof. She is self-confident in her math skills and really enjoys school.

For the first time ever she does her homework and follows through on projects. Also for the first time she got an A- on one of her math tests.

I can't wait to see what lies ahead for her. Thanks so much.

Before therapy, Dugan even hated going to school. He couldn't read or tell numbers because of a severe visual problem. After vision therapy he can tell time, is very successful in math, and can read his school book without being frustrated and giving up. The vision therapy program kept my child from giving up on himself.

The school had diagnosed my child as possibly being ADHD. I am glad I found your program before I gave in and had my child labeled for life.

Thanks a million.
Debra Price, Dugan's parent

I'm very pleased with the results from vision therapy. My son Austin has made a huge success. He does his school work, stays focused with reading, and his whole attitude has changed about himself.

Dr. Myers shows a great concern with him and works well with children. I wish more parents were aware of vision therapy. It would help a lot of children.

I would strongly recommend this program to children with similar problems that my son was going through.
Becky Schatzman, Austin's parent

My son has learned better work habits and is able to complete his school assignments without delay. His reading ability is improving. He is still exhibiting difficulty, but he is understanding the correlation between practice and achieving success.

As a parent it helps to have someone like Dr. Myers who is patient and encouraging. My son really enjoyed working with the staff and received much benefit from the instruction.

We will continue to work with our son at home, and we feel this program has been just what he needed in order to be able to go forward in the areas he has exhibited difficulties in. Thank you for all the help you have given our son.
Anne E. Stafford, Patient's parent

For the first time Chris enjoys reading and reads for fun. All of his grades have improved. The bad behavior reports have stopped coming home, and mid-term grades came out and Chris will make the honor roll for the first time.

It is like his eyes are opened for the first time; he is just taking in everything.
Tonya Booth, Chris's parent
